Onze Ontmoetingskerk wil een open, pluriforme en gastvrije gemeente zijn.
Momenteel zijn wij bezig met het reorganiseren van de vergaderstructuur van de
kerkenraad met als doel de verbetering van de efficiency en effectiviteit
(ofwel: minder vergaderingen).
Door het bereiken van het einde van de ambtstermijn zoeken wij met ingang van september 2025 voor onze Ontmoetingskerk een nieuwe
VOORZITTER KERKENRAAD
De voorzitter van de kerkenraad is tevens voorzitter van het dagelijks bestuur (agendacommissie of moderamen).
KERNTAKEN
- Samen met de kerkenraad ontwikkelen en uitvoeren van de koers van de gemeente
- Mede inhoud geven aan de voorbereiding van beleidsvoornemens
- Voorbereiden van de kerkenraadsvergaderingen
- Organisatorisch leiden van de kerkenraadsvergaderingen
- Bevorderen van het geestelijk leiderschap van de kerkenraad als geheel
- Aandacht voor een evenwichtige inbreng van elk kerkenraadslid
- Bevorderen van de onderlinge verstandhouding in de kerkenraad
- Mede vorm geven aan de verbinding met de gemeente van de Ontmoetingskerk
door een adequate informatie- en communicatievoorziening
-Stimuleren van een vergadercultuur waarin ruimte is voor open discussie en dialoog
-Het ‘gezicht’ zijn van de gemeente, intern en naar buiten toe
ERVARING
- Bij voorkeur leidinggevende en/of bestuurlijke ervaring vanuit een professionele
werkomgeving en/of vrijwilligerswerk
- Bereid en in staat om tijd en energie te steken in het kerkenwerk
- Affiniteit met kerkelijke processen
- Kritisch-onderzoekende houding met ruimte voor open discussie en dialoog
- Verbindende persoonlijkheid die mensen met verschillende opvattingen bij elkaar
kan brengen
- Bereidheid om je te verdiepen in de Kerkorde van de PKN
Je wordt voor een periode van 4 jaar bevestigd als ouderling met een bijzondere opdracht
(preses van de kerkenraad).

Dear sisters and brothers in Crist,
We greet you with love on this Easter holiday:
Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?... Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. John 20,15. 20
If we observe, the events of Holy Week are accompanied by tears throughout. Tears and joy alternate. On Palm Sunday, the crowd rejoices, but Jesus weeps over Jerusalem. On Good Friday, the disciples weep, first Peter after the cock crows, then the women near the cross. The crowd and the religious leaders rejoice. On Easter morning, Mary weeps bitterly, but in the evening the disciples rejoice. In the morning, the cemetery garden, the tears of death fill the eyes of the disciples, but in the evening, tears of joy of resurrection and life flow down their faces.
Easter week is full of tears, but it doesn't matter who cries and why. Somehow, that's how human life is. When we are born, Jesus cries over us, because everyone is born in sin. And we must come to the cross of Jesus amidst the joys of our lives, our strength, and the celebration of our youth. And there we must bow our knees, there we must weep, there we must repent of our sins, we must put them aside. And then at the end of our earthly life, the tears of the cemetery come, but we know that life, the joy of eternal life awaits us with Christ. However, whoever skips crying at the cross of Christ, Jesus will cry at the end of his life, because he has remained in sin and judgment. And such a person may have saved himself some crying here, but in eternity there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth for him.
It doesn't matter whether Jesus weeps over my ruined life or I weep over my sins. Because you can start and end this life with weeping, or you can start with weeping and end it with the joy, like the disciples did at Easter because they met the risen Jesus. If I weep, then I have life, if Jesus weeps over me, I go to hell. It doesn't matter whose tears fill my life. It doesn't matter why you cry and when you cry.
May God grant that after the tears of repentance on Good Friday, the tears of joy of Easter and the encounter with the risen Christ fill all of our lives and holidays.
Thank you for your Christmas gifts. Our children were very happy with the gifts made by your children, they were very useful and good gifts. We managed to find a home for all the gifts, thank you for that. And thank you for the Easter greetings, it was a blessing to read. We also wish you a God-blessed Easter, and we look forward to the joy of meeting with you in the week after the holiday.
